Does God speak to us today? Maybe He just whispers to our heart. This book was written to encourage believers to know that God does whisper to our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit. “Be still and know that I am God,” is His message. He prompts his whispers through nature, music, prayers, and generations past—through witnessing, through the testimonies of other believers, through the power of grace, through the word of God, through angels, through mercy, through the journey of personal growth of faith at every age and through the seasons of life. God whispers the truth of His love to humanity, but you need to take time to rest. Set aside the time to quietly listen. He wants to bless and draw close to all who would choose to believe. The author has been on a journey with God that she prays will open other hearts to the power of God’s blessings and His personal message. God has offered forgiveness and a purpose to all those that would humbly surrender to Him in faith.

Hope is a door that God places in front of each of us. He wants us to walk through it because He knows that on the other side is everything that we have ever truly wanted; there is LIFE, LOVE, PEACE, JOY, FAITH and HAPPINESS. It has been said that to truly see the beauty of a diamond one must set it against the darkest of backgrounds. This is why jewelers display their most valuable pieces against a background of black velvet. In the same way God often uses the most difficult of human experiences to showcase the wonders of His greatness. In this true story the beauty of God's gift of hope is revealed against the backdrop of a life in crisis. This book demonstrates the love of God, the power of the Gospel and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a lost and suicidal teenager. A fast read that won't soon be forgotten. “Without a hint of exaggeration,” says Bill Hybels, “the ability to discern divine direction has saved me from a life of sure boredom and self-destruction. God’s well-timed words have redirected my path, rescued me from temptation and re-energized me during some of my deepest moments of despair.” In The Power of a Whisper, vision is cast for what life can look like when God’s followers choose to hear from heaven as they navigate life on earth. Whispers that arbitrate key decisions, nudges that rescue from dark nights of the soul, promptings that spur on growth, urgings that come by way of another person, inspiration that opens once-glazed-over eyes to the terrible plight people face in this world—through firsthand accounts spanning fifty-seven years of life, more than thirty of which have been spent in the trenches of ministry, Hybels promotes passion in Christ-followers' hearts for being wide open to hearing from God, and for getting gutsier about doing exactly what he says to do. Baron Wormser brings to life the immense force poetry can have in people's lives. In stories funny, tender, sad, and edgy, the narrators register how poetry has changed how they see themselves, how they live, and what they care about. As it bends genres by adapting aspects of fiction, biography, essay and monologue, The Poetry Life shows how poetry can be lightning in the soul. "Baron Wormser has pulled off a miraculous feat--he has written a collection of stories that reveals the absolute necessity of poetry in our lives. His prose style is riveting, and his characters are as diverse as a phone book. Each voice conjures up a passionate portrait of inner life, telling us--through episodes both comic and tragic--that the world of the deceased poet remains eternally relevant to our own." --Clint McCown, author of The Weatherman: A Novel "'Poetry,' Baron Wormser writes, 'is about generosity.' So too are these ten stories you hold in your hands. They are about generosity. And mystery. And loneliness. And life. They are about how poetry helps us 'stay in our skins.' You will fall in love with these stories and with the ten poets who appear in them. What Baron Wormser says about William Carlos Williams, I say about him here, 'He nailed it.'" --Ann Hood, author of The Knitting Circle: A Novel "A book of stories not about poets but driven by the presence of poetry and the shadows of poets: madness undoubtedly. But the best kind of madness! With this book, Baron Wormser invites us to reconsider the connection between poetry and our lives, to remember that we really do live hungry for inner vision, for small insights that can save us from the slag heap of goofdom and pointlessness. It's a wonderful book. It's the kind of stuff that makes you want to stay in the world. " --Tim Seibles, author of Buffalo Head Solos
This book takes Carl Jung's fascinating concept of individuation and brings it right up to date with a modern twist. It reveals the relevance and importance it has in our lives today and gives us an understanding that our lives have a divine significance. Essentially, it is a major adult psychological process which occurs thoughout adult life and as we allow ourselves to individuate we attract change and growth. The book clarifies the many ways in which individuation makes its prescence known in our lives. For example why do so many of us begin to question our lives when 'everything appears to be just right?', yet there is an inner lack of fulfilment. It identifies indicators such as synchronistic occurrences, the relevance of the 7year cycle and explores what happens if we suppress individuation. Illustrated by compelling and amazing examples of those in the public eye who are individuating successfully, this book is also supplemented by visuals and insightful questionnaires to encapsulate the reader. If we are to fulfil our human potential we must individuate!
Over 15 years ago, God spoke to my heart and cause me to write a poem entitled “Trouble Man praying for God’s Glory”, essentially this book is formed around that poem, because I was indeed a trouble man. Many people who are saved are still lost and will not admit that they have an issue. Ask yourself this question “What does God’s Glory have to do with the pain I’m going through? First of all God wants the Glory and honor because you could not have done anything without Him. The more you give him glory in the mist of the storm the more He opens you up. The three Hebrew boys sung praises to God and He delivered them. Author Patrick L. Washington proclaims the truth, that God will do the same for you. “Praying for God’s Glory... Poems about Life,” also has a bonus short story in it entitled “I Found Him“. “I Found Him” is a story about a man and a woman named Beau Bill and Sister Martha. Who has lived there lives on the outside of grace. As time progress in their lives, they fell away from God. One day Beau Bill felt the tug of God, which gave him the urgency to find God. As you read this story, I hope you will heed to God’s tug and cry out ‘I Found Him’.
